TechSuite summary (internal — not shown to the customer)
DIAGNOSTIC SUMMARY - Ticket 69060 (Lee Scott) CRITICAL ISSUES DETECTED: - System File Checker (SFC) failed - "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service." This indicates a potential system integrity issue that requires immediate attention. - View HDD SMART Info returned "No drivers were found on this system." This is abnormal and suggests missing or corrupted storage drivers, which could impact disk detection and reliability. STORAGE STATUS: - Drive C:\ at 475GB capacity (appears normal, below 85% threshold based on typical sizing) - Drive D:\ at 131GB capacity (appears normal) - Drive E:\ shows 0GB (FAT formatted - may be uninitialized or disconnected) - Drive F:\ at 799GB capacity (appears normal) NOTE: Most diagnostic tool outputs returned CSS/formatting code instead of readable results, which is highly irregular. This suggests either a reporting system malfunction or data corruption in the diagnostic output. Recommend re-running diagnostics to obtain valid results. RECOMMENDATION: Investigate System File Checker failure and missing storage drivers immediately. Re-run full diagnostic suite to confirm tool output integrity before proceeding with further troubleshooting.
Options are shown to the customer as a ladder: your Recommended pick first, then the rest priciest to cheapest, with the Minimum last. Most options need no label at all — the price and your description carry them. Only one option should be Recommended.

Customer Approved Repair Through Portal Approved option: Recommended Approved price: $329.90 Customer-facing summary: We can order the replacement DC Jack and USB-C port and attempt to replace them and resolve your charging issue and the C-Port issue. We would also recommend a thermal cleaning on the device to replace any liquid metal or thermal paste and putty on the CPU/GPU and VRAM and VRM's around the CPU and CPU to help bring temperatures down to a more stable and consistent value to protect the system overall and allow the system to perform at higher clocks longer before thermal throttling. The parts would take 3 to 5 business days to arrive. Approval timestamp: August 12, 2026 at 4:41 PM EDT Next recommended RepairShopr status: Customer Reply

Customer replied via Repair Status Portal: I have a question about the usb-c traces, with the second option it leaves the usb-c port untouched as that assumes that the traces on the motherboard to the usb-c connectors are ripped. Instead of trying to repair the usb-c anyways, possibly leaving a hole in the case with the first opinion Received: August 11, 2026 at 8:43 PM EDT Ticket status set to: Customer Reply

Published to the customer portal. Repair Portal Update Published Customer-facing status: Checked In Customer-facing diagnostic summary: Hello Lee, this is Anthony from The Computer Warriors. I have completed my checks on your device and found no other issues other than a damaged charging port and a damaged USB-C port. With the damaged USB-C port, it is possible we could attempt to replace it, but with those ports, sometimes there are traces under them that are ripped from the board and ASUS does not provide schematics for them. So if we remove the port and the traces are ripped and there is no clear way to rebuild the trace, then the port would just stay removed and there would be an empty spot in the case of the laptop. The device does have another USB-C port on the other side that has the same functions except for charging. So you could just use the other side for everything, unless you need both for separate items or the left one is more convenient. I also found the CPU and GPU hit temperatures far higher than they should even on Ultimate mode with fans on turbo with the bottom off, both the CPU and GPU hit 99C and sometimes over 103C. Customer replied via Repair Status Portal: Did you take it out of the igpu mode In ghelper? That could be why it's not showing the dgpu. This was not a issue before we took it in for repairs as the 4060 GPU was working completely fine. Received: August 11, 2026 at 3:34 PM EDT Ticket status set to: Customer Reply

Published to the customer portal. Repair Portal Update Published Customer-facing status: Checked In Customer-facing diagnostic summary: Hello Lee, this is Anthony from The Computer Warriors. I have completed my checks on your device and found more wrong than just the damaged charging port. We also found the Nvidia dedicated gaming GPU is not showing up in the system. We pulled your drive and attempted a clean install on one of our drives and the same instance happens. The RTX 4060 does not show up at all, and the Nvidia app does not detect any Nvidia hardware either. So this system has a motherboard issue that would require the board to be sent out to see if it can be repaired, along with the charging port. Below are some options for repair and replacement.
