TechSuite summary (internal — not shown to the customer)

DIAGNOSTIC SUMMARY - TICKET 68741 Customer: Emily Bonney Computer: ETHANSLAPTOP CRITICAL ISSUES FOUND: - System File Checker failed: Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service. This indicates potential system file corruption or WRP service malfunction. - Recent app crashes detected: 127 crashes logged. This is significantly elevated and suggests either application compatibility issues, driver problems, or system instability. - HDD SMART info unavailable: No drivers were found on the system for SMART monitoring. Cannot verify hard drive health status. STORAGE STATUS: - C: drive at 924GB capacity (appears to be near or at full capacity depending on total size - requires verification) - D: drive at 131GB (exFAT) - E: drive showing 0GB (FAT) - possible formatting issue or uninitialized partition - F: drive at 799GB (exFAT) RECOMMENDATION: Investigate the 127 app crashes immediately - determine if related to driver issues or system corruption. Attempt to repair system files using alternate WRP method or manual SFC repair. Verify actual C: drive capacity and free space percentage. Check if E: drive needs initialization or repair.

Repair options (the quote)

Options are shown to the customer as a ladder: your Recommended pick first, then the rest priciest to cheapest, with the Minimum last. Most options need no label at all — the price and your description carry them. Only one option should be Recommended.

    Customer-facing summary:
We can complete a thermal cleaning to remove the oxidization from the CPU and the heatsink, reapply thermal material to the CPU and GPU. We also found the systems 1TB SSD is 84% full and is also reporting some wear indicators. These wear indicators are reported and drives have a limited number of reads and writes it can do before it starts to report these. When it does, it recommends backing up your data and replacing the drive to prevent failure and data loss. With this being the case, we would recommend upgrading the 1TB SSD to a larger 2TB SSD and we can copy all of your files and programs to the replacement unit to give you more room to install games and applications and save files. The time frame for a repair like this would be 1 to 2 business days from approval.

    Customer-facing diagnostic summary:
We have found that your system is not cooling as it should, but the temperatures are still within the systems safe range, and the system will thermal throttle to protect itself. With high end gaming laptops in this thin of a form factor, they do not have a ton of room for a large heatsink. This system uses liquid metal to cool the CPU, which is very good for thermal transfer but it also has the negative of it can oxidize creating dry spots causing the system to not be able to cool properly.
